Theory and Hazard Perception Test

The theory test is made up of two parts; the multiple choice part and the hazard perception part. You need to pass both parts to pass the theory test. Once you have passed the theory test you can then apply to take your practical driving test.

Theory test
You have to answer 50 multiple choice questions in 57 minutes and get at least 43 out of 50 to pass

Hazard perception Test
You'll be presented with a series of 14 video clips which feature every day road scenes. In each clip there'll be at least one developing hazard, but one of the clips will feature two developing hazards. To pass this part of the test you need to get 44 points out of 75.

Halo Driving School recommend that you train for your theory and hazard perception test alongside your practical training and you will be given a handout each lesson of theory test questions relevant to the particular subject being taught. However, we also offer lessons devoted exclusively to theory/hazard perception test training.
